Attention to detail Review of Vanna Nguyen Came here this morning for a hair cut by Vanna. Scheduling an appointment here was so easy - I did it through their yelp page and got a response literally within 5 minutes! Got to the salon ~10 minutes early and didn't have to wait at all. Vanna was already there waiting. I usually keep my haircuts pretty simple. Asked for a long bob, minimal layers. I appreciate Vanna's attention to detail. Thank you, Vanna! For the price and quality, I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in SoCal.

He totally hooked it up Review of Danny Phan I just came out from my first cut with Danny and I had a great experience! I called in last minute and he squeezed me in right away. I walked in having no clue what I should do with my mane.... He totally hooked it up and now I feel like I have a whole new look. It was great conversation, excellent hospitality, and I picked up a few tips & tricks along the way. This will probably be my spot from here on out. Thanks again Danny!
I will definitely be back again! Review of Danny Phan On a random Saturday afternoon I decided it was time to cut off half my hair. Being relatively new to the area, I headed to yelp to find a local salon that I hoped could handle the task. Avalon was able to take me in on an hour and a half notice, and I'm so glad I called! Danny was my stylist, and his attention to detail and understanding of face framing was exactly what I was looking for. I showed up with pictures of what I wanted, told him some of my concerns with the cut, and let him work his magic. Not only did he take the time to style my hair after the cut, he also did a dry cut afterwards to make sure all the lines were perfect. Let's face it, we don't wander around with wet hair all day, so it doesn't really make sense to just cut hair when it's wet, right? I ended up with the gorgeous blunt cut I wanted, cut a little bit longer to fit my face shape. Thank you so much, Danny, I will definitely be back again!

My "Go To" Salon Review of Danny Phan I finally found my go to salon!!!!!!!! I went to Avalon Salon after my pregnancy to chop my hair. It is conveniently close to my home and the reviews drew my attention! I also only paid $40 for a shampoo, haircut, and style! My stylist was Danny and he was just perfect! I told him I needed to drastically shorten my hair without going overboard. The end product was a beautiful long bob and I'm currently enjoying NOT putting my hair in a bun all the time. Not only was the cut great, Danny is really nice, fun to chat with, and takes pride in his work! If you ever need a cut, I recommend booking with Danny: (714) 785-5060 Thank you Danny! Amazing! Review of Kayla Cao My experience here was AMAZING! I'm originally from the Bay Area and always went to the same lady for the past 20 years. Then... college came around and I moved to OC. Didn't really have a home for my hair yet despite finding a home for myself so I called about 12 different places in Orange to see what would fit my budget, get me in the quickest, and had the best reviews. That was when I found Avalon Salon! I called in Saturday morning for an appointment in hopes of them fitting me in their schedule for the day. I know I wouldn't get Tracey since all the reviews emphasized how busy her schedule is, so I asked for either Danny or Kayla. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with Kayla for a haircut! I really wanted a lighter head since I had long (dead) hair and wanted something new for the summer/before finals week came around so I went with a long bob (w/o the A-line). I got there and stood there awkwardly for a bit before someone (I am assuming Danny) chirped up and asked me if I had an appointment. After confirming my appointment, I met Kayla and was immediately sat down and asked what I wanted. I showed her a picture and we talked out the pros and cons of it as well as deciding what length to do my hair at. Let me tell you, I have never had long hair before so it was nerve wrecking when I watched her tie my hair and grab her scissors to chop it off (about 8 inches or so which may not be a lot to you but it was to me!). She did it and talked to me throughout to get to know me better since I was a newbie at the salon. Next thing you know, I was finished and I looked so much... more put-together! I didn't have my glasses on for most of it so I couldn't really see what was happening so when I saw the finished result, I was beyond ecstatic. NOW LET ME TELL YOU- the experience wasn't the only great thing about this place. The price was too. I got my hair cut for $30.00 (WHAT! I WAS EXPECTING $45!) and with tip and all, the final price I had to pay was 40.00. As a broke college student with only so much left in her bank account, this was definitely suitable for me. I left satisfied, feeling good, and refreshed. I WILL come here again the next time I need a haircut and will request for Kayla! Avalon Salon- Thanks for being the new home for my hair. :)
So professional and sweet! Review of Kayla Cao I decided to give this salon a try due to all the great reviews, I have to say Yelp never lets me down. Kayla was so professional and sweet, she gave me the best haircut I've had in years! To say the least this is definitely my go to place from now moving forward. Highly recommended Kayla, she's extremely talented!!

I'm excited to go back! Review of Vivian Nguyen I got my first haircut here in February and I loved it so much! Vivian cut my hair and she was so nice to me and made me feel super comfortable. They washed my hair and conditioned it then they put some oils in it that made it shine and smell so good. At the end Vivian asked me multiple times if I liked the length and she made sure I loved everything about my haircut and then she styled it. I already set up an appointment for my next haircut and I'm excited to go back! (These are my before and after pictures)

I looooove what she did! Review of Vivian Nguyen Came in last minute to get a summer new look and was booked with Vivian. I looooove what she did with my hair!!! Not only did she leave it amazing I didnt get much damaged from the bleach. Which is great because I thought I would have to chop half of it off after coloring it. Will go back here when it's time for a retouch.

Team Avalon! Holy crap. I don't even know where to start. I messaged Tracy around noon, got a reply within 10mins and scheduled an appt for 4pm with Danny. Came in looking busted af Came out looking like Manila Luzon Danny was informative, funny, and didn't make me feel awkward at a salon. I will definitely come back and refer everyone!
Hands down the best customer service Review of Tracey La Where do I begin? Hands down the best customer service I've received in a salon. From my first initial conversation via phone with Tracy, she made me feel I will be taken good care of. I've been salon hopping and been apprehensive on getting my hair colored again but my experience here made it all worth it. I showed them a picture of my "inspiration" hair and they were very transparent whether the hair will be a good fit and whether it is healthy for your hair. Overall I loved my outcome. If you're looking for an ombré/balyage style this is the place for you. They've mastered how to blend and correct hair. I think I've found my place. Thanks Tracy!
Tracey is an absolute artist! Review of Tracey La Tracey is an absolute artist! She takes my hair from bland to blonde every time I'm in her chair. Her life and energy brings a smile to your face and she exerts nothing but positive energy. I have never trusted a stylist enough to say "cut it off" but I never worry about my results after each appointment. I'm so grateful to have found a color artist who matches the color to your complexion and takes the time to listen to what you want.
Tracey runs a great business! Review of Tracey La I usually go to Tracey's salon in Fountain Valley (Allure Hair), but she called me the day before my appointment and asked me if I could go to her Orange location instead (Avalon). I was already in the area at Disneyland so I said it was totally fine. I'm used to booking a month out for my hair because they are that busy but they were able to accommodate me on the weekend, on a Sunday no less, technically after hours. I've had bad haircuts and good haircuts in my life. I know what to look for in a stylist and a salon. I practically grew up in one. So I have to say, Tracey runs a great business. She's an educator of hair. It actually says that on her business card. I can attest to that because I used to go to Jenny over at Allure. Jenny is no longer there but who else would I trust with my hair other than the woman who taught Jenny all she knows? Tracey is really a perfectionist when it comes to hair. She has assistants in the salon who do the hair washing, drying, and application of hair color/bleach, but she is constantly checking in with the customer, while teaching her stylists along the way. She did my cut wet and she even went so far as to cut it after it was dry and styled too. She swapped out the black smock with a white one just so she could see if there were stray strands that needed to be snipped. She says she's OCD but I really appreciate that she will go above and beyond for just a haircut. I've also had color done at her salon before (with her other stylists) and let me tell you, they know their stuff. They can make your dark Asian hair the perfect shade of blonde if you want it. They also do purples, pinks, and blues that blend beautifully. I really trust her (and her stylists) with my hair and you should too. My haircut was $35 and she charges by length so I think it's ($25, $35, $45); regardless, it's a reasonable price for an amazing cut! She can be reached by phone or email. She even responds to appointment requests on Yelp, so definitely book her for your next hair appointment. Her stylists are amazing too if you can't wait.
